Patient experience
A city of two continents — and room to rest.
Istanbul has a long tradition of hospitality and a well-established dental and hair restoration sector. Here is what that means in practice — and what to weigh before you travel.
The city and your stayThe city, and your stay
Treatment is the reason for the trip. Calm is what makes it work.
VIP airport transfers and your hotel stay are included in your plan — so the city is something to enjoy, not something to manage.

The partner hotel 01Two continents, one city
Europe and Asia face each other across the Bosphorus — a ferry ride is one of the simplest pleasures of a visit.

Evenings by the strait are unhurried. Plan gentle walks rather than full itineraries around treatment days.

Balat’s coloured houses, Galata’s streets and Kadıköy’s markets each have their own pace.

Inside the clinic 04Tea, always
A small glass of çay is a ritual of welcome — at cafés, in shops and between appointments.

Practical notes
Getting around.
General information only. Your coordinator shares details that fit your own dates and plans.
01Where we are
VERAKS HEALTH is based in Kartal, a residential and business district on Istanbul’s Asian (Anatolian) side. Examinations and treatment are carried out by our own doctors and licensed teams.
02Arriving by air
Istanbul has two main airports: Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) on the Asian side and Istanbul Airport (IST) on the European side. Both are connected to Kartal and the rest of the city by road. Journey times vary considerably with traffic and the time of day, so avoid planning an appointment for the hour you land.
03Getting around
Licensed taxis and ride apps are widely used, and Istanbul also has metro, bus, tram and ferry networks; a rechargeable İstanbulkart works on most public transport. Crossing between the Asian and European sides can add time at busy hours. Your coordinator can share general information once our clinic and your appointment times are known.
04Climate and seasons
Summers are warm and can be humid, while winters are cool and often damp, with occasional cold spells. Spring and autumn are usually mild and pleasant. If you are having hair restoration, plan for shade and a loose hat, as direct sun is often discouraged on a healing scalp.
05Where you will stay
VIP airport transfers and your hotel stay are included in your plan. You are collected from the airport, taken to the hotel and driven to each appointment, so you can rest between visits instead of navigating the city. Your coordinator confirms the hotel, your dates and the pick-up times in writing before you travel.
06Calm things to do between appointments
A short walk, a quiet café or a relaxed meal is often enough between appointments. On the Asian side, Çamlıca Hill and the Üsküdar and Kadıköy waterfronts are pleasant for an unhurried hour. If you feel well and your clinician agrees, a trip to the historic peninsula may be possible — but rest and your aftercare come first.

Honest trade-offs
Weigh it carefully.
Treatment abroad can be a good choice, but it is not right for everyone. Before you decide, consider:
- The number of visits a treatment may need
- The time you can take away from work
- How you will manage follow-up at home
- What happens if a review is needed between trips
Check entry requirements for your nationality and whether your travel insurance covers planned medical treatment.
